Believing the Lie PART ONE
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

What causes us to go down the wrong path? With so
many warnings, such explicit instructions and the love of a
Savior who gave his own life for us, why do we continue to
disgrace his Holy name?
The answer is that we believe the lies. Consider the first liar
ever encountered in the scriptures, the serpent. In beguiling
Eve the serpent started by quoting and questioning God’s
word, which caused Eve to wonder about what God truly
said. If you will notice what the serpent said was mostly true,
but he also twisted the truth to fit his needs. The most
effective lie is the one that has a ring of truth to it, or is mostly
truth mixed with a lie. You see rat poison is mostly good food
mixed with enough toxins to kill. The rat would never eat the
poison alone but it cannot separate the two so it eats then
dies.
So in order to keep from believing the lies of the devil, it
requires us to always check the thoughts and ideas that are
conveyed to us or through our minds in the light of God’s Holy
Book. Trusting in the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us into all
truth.
