The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can
know it?
Jeremiah 17:9
The third liar that ensnares us into traveling into the rotten world of sin
and iniquity is our selves. As if it were not bad enough that Satan were
out to trip us up and that sin looks good on the outside luring us in, we
deceive ourselves by allowing our thought process to justify our sin
any way that we can.
Proverbs 21:2 “Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the
LORD pondereth the hearts.” Always be careful of reasoning out too
much. If you remember Eve in the garden she listened to the Serpent
and thought only about the sales pitch she convinced herself that she
needed to eat the fruit. No one twisted her arm, the deception of Satan
then alluring sight of the sin follower by the justifying with in her self,
led here to believe that to sin against God would make her a better
person. But sin never leaves you better than it found you and it will kill
you.
