Effective Christians are
Affected Christians
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that
ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man
availeth much.

                                                        James 5:16
Today there is so much that is vying for our attention and affections
it often leaves us apathetic toward things that we should care more
about.  Colossians 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on
things on the earth.  Our affections are often in the wrong place
because our time is dedicated to the wrong things.  If we are to be
effective for God and looking to honor and glorify him we must allow
sin to anger us once again.  Too many times have we heard the
word tolerant used to sway us toward apathy for sin and the sinful
life styles lived by those that are mocking God.  For indeed to live in
sin is to mock God.  So we try not to be affected by it in order to live
peaceably, but unless we have an utter disgust for that which
disgusts God, we are soon to bee ineffective.
