EYES
       ON
           GOD

“Many a time have they afflicted me from
my youth: yet they have not prevailed
against me.”

                              Psalms 129:2
David is a man who through out his early life suffered a
tremendous amount of persecution.  His heart was right with
God and his desire was only to see that the right thing was
done, yet he suffered persecution for it.  Although we Christians
in America today don’t know the first thing about persecution we
are constantly surrounded be wickedness,  people who choose
sin over God and a whole society which is going whole hog
after the things that this world has to offer.  In such
surroundings it is far too easy to allow your desire for the LORD
to wane.  If you will notice things are not getting better.  Each
year it seams that what was once considered an atrocity is an
accepted part of society.  Unfortunately although I continue to
pray for revival in this country, it may be too late.  So why not
just give in and just go with the flow so to speak?  Psalms 129:4
“The LORD is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the
wicked.”  No matter how bad things get God is still righteous
and he is still on his throne.  It seams that the only time I have
trouble is when I neglect that thought and start looking
inwardly.  Look up, not in out or down.  Hebrews 12:2 “Looking
unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy
that was set before him endured the cross, despising the
shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Sounds too simple?  Well as you remember the character of the
LORD and exactly what it is that he did for you, you will gain a
new prospective on this world.
